Answer:

the sales tax is C.$1.14

Explanation:

Hello

i think I can help you with this

you can find the cost of the tax using a rule of three

Step 1

Let

define, if

$18.95 = 100 percent

$x? =6 percent

rule of three

$18.95 = 100%

$x? =6%

the relation is the same,so.

(18.95)/(100) =(x)/(6) \\\\x=(18.95*6)/(100)\\\\x= (113.7)/(100) \\\\x=1.137\\x=$1.14

the sales tax is $1.14
