What was a main cause of the American Civil War? PLEASE ANSWER. It’s my last question for my finals

-Passage of amendments that gave black citizenship in the right to vote

-The development of industry manufacturing in the north

-Question of whether slavery should be allowed a new territories

It is the third one. The south wanted to expand slavery towards the north but the north refused which created tension between the areas and that was the main cause of the civil war.
