As office clerk Kersha earns hours c times rate $ 12.00 per hour
= 12c

As cashier Kersha works for total hours subtract office hours ( 55-c) so she will earn 55-c hours times rate $8:25
= (55-c) 8.25

Total earnings : 12c + 8.25 (55-c) = 585 so (A)
