Take a ruler and find the length of a dollar bill. this will be a variable L. Now divide L by 2 you will get what one half of the dollar bill is. If it doesnt seem right you might want to check your division by multiplying your one half by 2 and if you get L then you did t correctly!

Answer:

The length of a dollar bill to the nearest tenth of a centimeter is 15.6 cm.

The length of the bill when it is folded in half along the portrait of George Washington is 3.07 inches or 7.8 centimeter.

Explanation:

Consider the provided information.

The length of a dollar bill is 6.14 inches.

Now convert inches to centimeter by multiplying the number 6.14 with 2.54

6.14 inches = 15.6 cm (Nearest tenth of a centimeter)

Thus, the length of a dollar bill to the nearest tenth of a centimeter is 15.6 cm.

Now we need to find the length of the bill when it folded in half along the portrait of George Washington.

If we fold it half then length is going to be half. Thus divide the length of dollar bill by 2.

(6.14)/(2)=3.07 inches

Or

(15.6)/(2)=7.8 centimeter

Hence, the length of the bill when it is folded in half along the portrait of George Washington is 3.07 inches or 7.8 centimeter.
