Does the color of the eye matter the way you perceive light?

The darker an eye color the more melanin the eye has. The melanin concentration in the pigment of the iris cells acts as a way to protect the iris from higher sunlight by spreading the light out. So, in other words, the lighter someone's eyes are the more sensitive they are to light.
