Hey there,

Answer:

Width = xcm

Length = xcm + 15

x + x + x + 15 + x + 15 = 150cm
4x = 150 - 15 - 15
4x = 120
x = 120 / 4
= 30
Width = 30 cm
Length = 30 cm + 15 cm
= 45 cm

Hope this helps :D

Answer:

Length = 45 cm , Width = 30 cm .

Explanation:

Given : The Perimeter of a rectangle is 150 cm. The length is 15 cm greater than the width.

To find : Find the dimensions.

Solution : We have given

Perimeter of rectangle = 150 cm .

Length is 15 cm greater than the width.

Length = 15 + width .

Formula of perimeter = 2 ( length + width ) .

Plugging the values .

150 = 2 ( width + 15 + width ) .

150 = 2 ( 15 + 2 width ) .

On dividing both sides by 2.

75 = 15 + 2 width .

On subtracting both sides by 15 .

75 - 15 = 2 width .

60 = 2 width.

On dividing both sides by 2.

30 cm = width .

Length = 15 + 30 .

Length = 45 cm

Therefore, Length = 45 cm , Width = 30 cm .
