You need to make one of the terms the same.
I will make the "2y" in the second equation 4y because it's a multiple of it
To change 2y to 4y, multiply the entire second equation by 2.
2(4x+2y=28)
8x+4y=56
Now subtract the first equation from the second equation-
8x+4y=56
-5x+4y=38
3x=18
x=6

Plug in x for y-
5(6)+4y=38
30+4y=38
-30 -30
4y=8
/4 /4
y=2
So your answer is x=6, y=2.
(6,2) if needed in point form.
