Answer with Explanation

The reason of this is because the shape of the Earth is spherical, this causes the Earth’s surface to get struck by the sun’s rays at different angles, creating different variants in temperatures on Earth. A perpendicular (90 degrees) angle to the Earth is formed when the equator receives intense sunlight directly as compared to the poles. At the poles, upto period of 24 hours.

Because the Earth is a sphere, the surface gets much more intense sunlight, hence heat, at the equatorthan at the poles.
