The middle ages (5th – 15th Centuries AD) were ages of great invention and discovery.
printing press - invented Johannes Gutenberg (mechanized printing)
spinning wheel- was probably invented in India and reached Europe via the Middle East
eyeglasses - In 1268 Roger Bacon made the earliest recorded comment on the use of lenses.
