The value of y is 82.

Because if you see the line AC, at point E the measure of angle AEB and angle CEB is equal to 180.
from there we will find the value of x
116 + x = 180
x = 180 - 116
x = 64
Now we have the values of two angles in side the triangle, and we know that sum of three angles inside the triangle is equal to 180.
So, in triangle CEB
x + 34 + y = 180
64 + 34 + y = 180
y = 180 - 98
y = 82
Thus, the answer is 82.
