4x2=8
1x2=2
=2/8
8-2= 6

your answer is 6 slices were left

make them have the same denominator. we want 1/4 to have the same denominator 8/8
So, 1/4 x 2 = 2/8
Now, 8/8 - 2/8 = 6/8

Answer: 6/8 or 0.75
