Which line in this excerpt from Homer's Odyssey best shows that Ulysses was a good ruler who always remembered his responsibility for his homeland, Ithaca?

1.In vain Calypso long constrained my stay,

With sweet, reluctant, amorous delay;

2.With all her charms as vainly Circe strove,

And added magic to secure my love.

3.In pomps or joys, the palace or the grot,

4.My country's image never was forgot;

My absent parents rose before my sight,

And distant lay contentment and delight.

Option 4 is the correct answer. He never forgot his "country's image", i.e. his homeland.
