Explain the difference between direct and indirect observation in determining population size. 100 points, come get em!

Answer: What is direct observation? Looking at a population and just counting how many there are. What is indirect observation? ... When a population is too large or is spread over a too large of an area to possibly count the ecologist makes an estimate.
