Well 2000 Ib = 1 ton
5500 = 2.75 tons

There are approximately 2000 pounds
To find the answer to this problem we can divide 5,500 by 2000 to find the tons
5,500/2,000 = 2.75
The answer to this problem would be that there are
2.75 or 2 3/4 tons in 5,500 lbs
