a training field is designed by joining a rectangle and two semi-circles as shown below.
The rectangle is 91m long and 58m wide. What is the length of a training track running around the field?

The lengths of the top and bottom of the rectangle are

`91 + 91 = 182`
Now if you join both semicircles you get a full circle with diameter 58. To find the length use the circumference formula

`58\pi`
If you add the two lengths together you get

`182 + 58(3.14) = 364.12 \: m`
Remember its length so 364.12 meters
