Explanation:

According to Khanacademy "The distributive property tells us how to solve expressions in the form of a(b + c). The distributive property is sometimes called the distributive law of multiplication and division. ... Then we need to remember to multiply first, before doing the addition!"

So if we apply that to a question such as,

4(x+3), the way we would solve it is by first multiplying 4*x (4x) and 4*3 (12.) Then we need to add 4x+12, which is your answer!

So one example of Distributive property is 4(x+3) and a(b+c)

(p.s If you did not learn algebra, an example of distributive property is 5(1+3))
