According to the converse, we have it that;

if;


c^2=b^2+a^2

Then, we have a right triangle, given that c is the longest side

So, by using the side lengths of the roped off area, if the square of the length of the longest side of the roped off area is equal to the sum of the squares of the other two sides of the roped off area, then what we have is a right triangle
