ANSWER: 1 1/3 + 5/6 = 13/6 (improper fraction) or 2 1/6 as a mixed fraction.


1 (1)/(3) = (1 * 3 + 1)/(3) = (4)/(3) \\ \\ (4)/(3) + (5)/(6) = (4 * 2)/(3 * 2) = + (5)/(6) = (8)/(6) + (5)/(6) = (8 +5 )/(6) = (13)/(6) (or) \: 2 \ (1)/(6)
