Both aerobic cellular respiration and lactic acid fermentation is oxidative process which begin with glucose. Both these metabolic processes begins in the cytoplasm of the cell and undergo a series of reactions called glycolysis. During glycolysis one molecule of glucose is converted into two molecules of pyruvic acid. ATP is produced during both processes.
