Blended Family
A blended family is defined as a family made of two parents and their children from previous marriages. An example of a blended family is a woman with two children from a previous marriage who marries a man with three children from a previous marriage.

All of these people make up what is known as a blended family or as its also known a stepfamily. This means that a family is made or "blended" by the parents and the children from their previous relationships that come together and form a new unit, a new family.
