3a + 5a = 8a, 8a = 8(2), 8 x 2 = 16
3a + 5a, so 8(2) = 16
16 is answer
8(5) - 4(5) = 40 - 20 = 20
8b - 4b = 8(5) - 4(5) = 40 - 20 = 20
20 is answer
5c + 4c + c = 10c
5c + 4c + c = 5(-3) + 4(-3) + (-3)
-15 - 12 -3
-30 is your answer
hope this helps
