97 percent of huge stars end up as a white dwarf. after the supernova it becomes a white dwarf and can burn up to 100 billion billion years. red dwarfs are born red dwarfs. a nova is one of the final stages, not the end stage. i dont know what you mean by giant. so white dwarf would be your answer.
