How did Supreme Court reinterpret civil liberties in Tinker v. Des Moines?

Tinker vs Des Moines was a landmark case about teenagers protesting the Vietnam war in school. The school expelled them and the teenagers sued the school. Tinker won the case defining all people no matter what age can protest peacefully wherever they want.
