Displacement is defined as the overall change in the position of the object or how far out of place the object became.

So, if the cat jumps 1 meter forwards and then crawls meters backwards, this means that the overall change in the cat's position is 1 - 0.2 = 0.8 meters forward.

Based on the above, the displacement of the cat is 0.8 meters forward
