A client complains of abdominal discomfort and nausea while receiving tube feedings. which intervention is most appropriate for this problem? change the feeding container daily. give the feedings at room temperature. stop the feedings and check for residual volume. place the client in semi-fowler's position while feeding.

It would be good to check that the tube is clean or replace a used, unclean or faulty tube. Abdominal discomfort could be caused by unclean or old tubes as these could introduce bacteria, pathogens and other germs into the patient.
