1 in. : 0.4 ft
8 in. would be : ( 8 * 0.4) = 3.2 ft
10 in. would be : (10 * 0.4) = 4 ft
so the actual area is :
A = L * W
A = 3.2 * 4
A = 12.8 ft^2 <===
