Assuming the underlined word is disparity, I'd say the correct answer is D. lack of equality.
Disparity means difference, inequality, so A and C are definitely incorrect. Argument doesn't really mean anything here, so B is incorrect as well. When something lacks equality, it means it is unequal, which is the exact meaning of disparity.
