No because without estimation we get an answer of,
A better estimation would be,
Considering 7/8 is close to 8/8 which is 1
And 3/6=1/2

you need to find a common denominator which you get by multiplying denominators. 6/6 *7/8-3/6 *8/8 = 42/48 - 24/48 and then subtract across which gives you 42-24 =18
