3|x+2| -10=-4? How do u do this?

Hey! Let's go through this.
First, we can add 10 to both sides, getting us
3(|x+2|) =6
Then, we can divide both sides by 3.
(Ix+2I)=2
x+2 = 2.

3x +2 - 10 = 4
3x = 4
x = 4/3

Unless you are supposed to distribute, in that case follow Shawnkat and

add 10 to both sides, getting us
