The number of tropical fish that an aquarium can hold depends on the volume of the fish tank. the interior dimensions of the fish tank below are 60 60 cm, 50 50 cm, and 30 30 cm. each fish requires 10,000 cubic centimeters of water. how many tropical fish will this fish tank hold?

Answer:

9 fish

Explanation:

Dimensions of fish tank :

Length = 60 cm

Width = 50 cm

Height = 30 cm

Volume of fish tank =
Length * Width * Height

=
60* 50 * 30

=
90000cm^3

Each fish requires 10,000 cubic centimeters of water.

So, tank will hold number of fishes =
(90000)/(10000)

=
9

Hence tank will hold 9 fish.

To figure the amount of tropical fish in the aquarium you multiple length*height*width to find the cubic centimeters of the tank, then divide that number by 10,000. 60*50*30=90,000 cubic centimeters. 90,000/10,000=9. 9 tropical fish could be places in a tank with those dimensions.
