The answer is,
"weighted-average accumulated expenditures were
$2,400,000".
we can calculate this as;
payments made are:
$2,000,000 on 7/1, $4,200,000 on 9/1, and $4,000,000 on 12/31
So,
($2,000,000 × 6/12) + ($4,200,000 × 4/12
=
$2,400,000
