if Jake needs 2 tablespoons of ice tea mix for every 5 quarts of water. How many tablespoons of the ice tea mix would he need for 4 quarts of water?

2/5=x/4. You have a ratio so put tablespoons on top of the fraction and quarts on the bottom then set them equal to each other. You could do it vice versa as long as the same units are on the bottom and top. Then you cross multiply to solve for x so 4*2=8 and 8/5=1 and 3/5 tablespoons for 4 quarts
