From the given figure,

Since the triangle are similar it follows:


(108)/(x)=(108+108)/(120)

Solve the equation for x


\begin{gathered} 120(180)=x(216) \\ x=(12960)/(216) \\ x=60 \end{gathered}

Therefore the height of the tree is 60 ft
