How can you use subtraction to describe division?

Multiplication is said to be rapid addition. It is like adding a large group of numbers at once. This is the same with subtraction and division. Division is essentially rapid subtraction. Let me know if you need more help.

Division is repeated subtraction, just like multiplication is repeated addition. If you divide 50 by 10, you get 5. This is also the question: How many times do you have to subtract 10 from 50 to get 0?
