Slope of line passing through given points (-7.1, 11.4) and (-3.1, 3.4) can be calculated as below

(3.4 - 11.4)/ (-3.1 - (-7.1)) = -8/4 = -2

Given equation is in slope form of the line, i.e y = (-3/4)x + 3; By rearranging terms in the equation we can get its standard form as

4y = -3x + 12, which is same as 3x +4y = 12
