so what you do is subtract 4b on both sides so it will be -ax=9+4b then divide x on both sides and you have your answer

lets solve for X
(-a)(x)+4b>9
---------------------------------------------------------
Step one: Add -4b to both sides
---------------------------------------------------------
-ax+4b+-4b>9+-4b
-ax>-4b+9
--------------------------------------------------------
Step 2: divide both d=sides by -a
--------------------------------------------------------
-ax/-a > -4b+9/-a
-------------------------------------------------------
ANSWER: x < 4b-9/a
