Let the total number of students be x

1/5 of the students does not know how to drive

Therefore, the number of students that does not know to drive is

1/5 * the total number of students

Since the total number of students is x

Then,

1/5 * x

= x /5

Therefore, x/5 of the total students does not know how to drive

The question says find the passage of students that know how to drive

Number of students that can drive = Total number of students - Number of students that cannot drive

Number of students that can drive = x - x/5

Number of students that can drive = 5x - x / 5

Number of students that can drive = 4x/5

To calculate the percentage

Percentage of students that can drive = Number of students that can drive / total number of students x 100

Percentage = 4x/5 / x * 100

Percentage= 4x / 5 * 1/x * 100

Percentage = 4/5 * 100%

Percentage = 0.8 x 100%

Percentage = 80%

The answer is 80%

The percentage of students that can drive is 80%
