In longer bones epiphyseal line sharpens as we age . The epiphyseal plate a part of bone ossifies or hardens and becomes the part of the bone. As the plate ossifies an epiphyseal lina is formed . Presence of epiphyseal line on the long bones helps to calculate the age of the skeleton.
