Last year, the enrollment at a local middle school was 865 students. This year the enrollment is 925 students. Determine the percent of change and state if it is an increase or decrease. (Round your percent to the nearest tenths.)

Each line is the steps I take to find the percentage of change.

1. 925 - 865 = 60

2. 60/865 = 0.06936416184 = (about) 0.1

3. 0.1 = 10%

Therefore, there was approximately a 10% increase.
