y = x + 3...so sub in x + 3 for y in the other equation

3x + y = 19
3x + x + 3 = 19
4x + 3 = 19
4x = 19 - 3
4x = 16
x = 16/4
x = 4

y = x + 3
y = 4 + 3
y = 7

so ur solution is (4,7) <==

Answer:

option B
(4,7)

Explanation:

we have

y=x+3 -----> equation A

3x+y=19 -----> equation B

Substitute equation A in equation B

3x+[x+3]=19

3x+x=19-3

4x=16

x=4

Find the value of y

y=x+3

y=4+3=7

the solution is the point
(4,7)
