1) The Americans fought with the British. The redcoats assembled at Breed's Hill. Bayonets drawn, they charged. Americans opened fire, forcing the British to retreat. Twice more the redcoats charged, receiving furious fire from above. Finally, the Americans ran out of gunpowder and had to withdraw.
2)The Battle of Bunker Hill, or Breed's Hill, constituted the first major battle of the American Revolution(1775-1783). Although the British accomplished their objective, they did so at a heavy cost. This moral victory united the Americans in their opposition to the British.
