Answer:

12

Explanation:

(4)/(6) * 18

______________________________________

STEP 1:

Factor the number: (2 * 2 = 4)

=

(2 * 2)/(6) * 18

STEP 2:

Factor the number: (2 * 3 = 6)

=

(2 * 2)/(2 * 3) * 18

STEP 3:

Cancel the common factor: (2)

=

(2)/(3) * 18

STEP 4:

Factor the number: (3 * 6 = 18)

=

(2)/(3) * 3 * 6

STEP 5:

Cross-Cancel common factor: (3)

So, (2 x 6)

STEP 6:

Multiply the numbers: (2 x 6 = 12)

So, your answer is 12

I HOPE THIS HELPS!

QUESTION :
(4)/(6) × 18

What would make it easier for you to find the answer, is to convert the whole number, 18, into a fraction. In this case, if you want to convert 18 into a whole number, while simultaneously keeping that same number and not changing it, you would turn 18 into
(18)/(1).

Then, you multiply, like how you would multiply any other fraction.

(4)/(6) ×
(18)/(1) =
(72)/(6).

But I believe there is a way to simplify this. I believe 6 goes into both the numerator and the denominator. 6 goes into 72 exactly 12 times, and 6 goes into 6 exactly one time. And there's your answer.

(72)/(6) =
(12)/(1)
, which in turn equals to 12. 12 is your final answer.
