The vertices of a triangle are P(–4, 1), Q(–2, –8), and R(8, –1). Name the vertices of the image reflected across the y axis

When you reflect or 'flip' the triangle across the y- axis, you keep the coordinates the same but change the x sign.

P' (4,1) Q' (2,-8) and R' (-8,-1)

Hope I helped!! Have a great day!

When a point is reflected across the y-axis, the y-coordinate remains the same. The x-coordinate becomes the opposite.

P(-4, 1) ---> P'(4, 1)
Q(-2, -8) ---> Q'(2, -8)
R(8, -1) ---> R'(-8, -1)
