The ladder (Hypp)=7

and the angle=64

since

`Cos(\theta)=(Adj)/(Hyp)`

then

`Cos(64)=(Adj)/(7)`

Solving for Adj to find the base

`Adj=7Cos(64)=3.068`

then the bottom of the ladder is 3.07 ft from the house
