two digit number=xy
x
tens digit
y
units digit
y = 4 x (The units digit is 4 times the tens digit.)
(the new number is 54 more than the original number)
10X+Y + 54 = 10
y + x
we replace y = 4x we get
27X=54
x = 2
y = 4 x = 4*2 = 8
so the number is 28
