two digit number=xy

x tens digit

y
units digit

y = 4 x (The units digit is 4 times the tens digit.)

(the new number is 54 more than the original number)
10X+Y + 54 = 10 y + x
we replace y = 4x we get
27X=54

x = 2

y = 4 x = 4*2 = 8

so the number is 28
