Answer:

Move all terms not containing x to the right side of the equation.

Add 5 to both sides of the equation.

2x=7+5

Add 7 and 5.

2x=12

Divide each term by 2 and simplify.

2x/2=12/2

Divide x by 1.

x=12/2 => x=6
