Not sure if this is correct but the Soviet women worked double shifts my answer is B soviet women served in combatant role

Soviet women were in general more emancipated than their American counterparts. They were already working heavily in the industry and even worked double shifts during the war. However this was partly true about American women too that had infiltrated the factories, especially since men were drafted. However, the main difference is that Sovie women were also part of the Soviet army and they were combatants; American women did not participate in battles.
