  • During cellular respiration food substances such as glucose which is an organic or carbon compound are broken down in presence of oxygen gas to generate energy in the form of ATP, and water and carbon dioxide as byproducts.
  • Similarly the burning of coal also involve the burning of coal which is a carbon compound or organic compound to produce water and carbon dioxide as byproducts.
