1. He worked 10 hours + 15 hours = 25 hours
He earned $280 for 25 hours of work.
The rate per hour is $280/25 hours = $11.20/hour

2. You need to find 6% of $32,345.
To find a percent of a number, multiply the percent by the number.
To change the percent into a decimal, move the decimal point two places tot he left.
6% of $32,345 = 6% * $32,345 = 0.06 * $32,345 = $1,940.70

3. flat paint: 33 gal
gloss paint: 57 gal
Total paint = 33 gal + 57 gal = 90 gal
Ratio of gloss to total = 57:90
