The reason why pollutants most easily enter permeable aquifers is because aquifers are bodies of rock that can contain and transmit groundwater. The thing about pollutants is that many of them seep into groundwater, and the many rocks in the soil will absorb this polluted groundwater. This is much easier than entering solid, nonporous rock, since it works far slower, or entering into man-made materials.

Offspring will always have modified genetics from their ancestors, though some traits may pass one. Very few organisms have identical genes, those who do are known as twins—even then, there may be a few differences.
